Get ready for some fresh NBA drama. Last week, former NBA star and current commentator Charles Barkley bashed LeBron James for demanding his Cleveland Cavaliers sign playmakers to add to an already star-studded roster.
"Inappropriate. Whiny. All of the above," Barkley said of James.
James took the high road for a while, saying Barkley's comments were "good for ratings" but otherwise keeping silent. On Monday night, he finally fired back.
I'm not going to let him disrespect my legacy like that. I'm not the one who threw somebody out a through a window. I never spit on a kid.
James took aim at Barkley's past scandals, including throwing a man through a window, spitting on an 8-year-old girl when trying to spit on a heckler, racking up $400,000 in unpaid gambling debts, and infamously saying, "I'm not a role model," ESPN reported.

I'm tired of biting my tongue. There's a new sheriff in town.
"All I've done for my entire career is represent the NBA the right way," James said. Fourteen years, never got in trouble. Respected the game. Print that."
He told Barkley to talk to him face-to-face if he had more criticism.
"He knows every road arena I'll be in," James said.
James' Cavaliers went 7-8 in January, marking the first time James' team has had a losing month since February 2006.

He also sounded off on Twitter early Tuesday morning.
But by then, his comments had already gone viral.
