'Stranger Things' star Millie Bobby Brown has snatched a monstrous new film role

Millie Bobby Brown, the telekinetic girl in Netflix's 'Stranger Things,' has nabbed her first film role. The twelve-year-old actress has signed on to star in "Godzilla: King of the Monsters," the sequel to Gareth Edwards' 2014 portrayal of the giant monster, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Directed by Michael Dougherty, "King of Monsters" joins another film involving misunderstood creatures, "Kong: Skull Island," which hits theaters March 2017.

Details of cast members set to join Brown, as well as the feature's plot, remain under wraps.

"King of the Monsters" is scheduled to release March 2019.
