After President Trump instituted a gag order on the EPA and National Park Service, some employees decided to go rogue.
Badlands National Park went viral with its climate change tweets that were later deleted. But now separate accounts claiming to represent other government agencies have popped up and started sharing climate change facts and other things Trump has disapproved of. Here's our running list of all the rogues.
@AltForestServ: From the U.S. Forest Service.
2 days without a post on our main social accounts. We would like to bring you great news about food & drugs but...— AltFDA (@alt_fda) January 25, 2017
@Alt_FDA calls itself the "Uncensored FDA."
@RogueNASA quickly became one of the rogue leaders.
@AltHHS calls itself a parody account.
Global sea level rose about 17 centimeters in the last century. The rate in the last decade is nearly double that of the last century.— AltEPA (@ActualEPAFacts) January 26, 2017
@ActualEPAFacts tweets a good deal of, well, actual EPA facts.
But it seems to compete with @ungaggedEPA.
@AltUSDA challenges an industry that briefly saw its own gag order.
@Badlands_NPS honors the park account that started the trend.
Can't wait for President Trump to call us FAKE NEWS.— NOT ALT WORLD (@NotAltWorld) January 25, 2017
You can take our official twitter, but you'll never take our free time!
And the NPS as a whole has its own rogue account.
Death Valley's "main" account went rogue on its own, bashing Trump's immigration policy.
