WATCH | Ralliers speak out at the March for Life
[UPDATE] 12:20 PM
Mike Pence delivered an address to a crowd of thousands at the 'March for Life' rally at the national mall in Washington, DC. "Life is winning again in America," he said throughout his speech.
"We will devote healthcare services for women across America."
Vice President Mike Pence is the highest ranking official to address the March for Life.
Kellyanne Conway also attended the March for Life event.
The Women's March on Washington stole headlines last weekend when nearly three million people around the world defiantly protested President Trump and his policies. On Friday, protesters will hit the DC streets to participate in the 44th annual March for Life--hoping to outshine the success of last week's historic rally.
Beginning at noon on the National Mall, participants will highlight the "greatest human rights violation of our time, legalized abortion on demand," the march's website said.
Speakers at the event aren't as high-profile as those at the Women's March on Washington, but it does include appearances by Kellyanne Conway and Vice President Mike Pence, according to a press released obtained by Circa.
"Pro-life leaders, activists, volunteers and marchers will be thrilled to hear from Vice President Pence and are bound to leave the March for Life even more energized than when they came,” Jeanne Mancini, President of the March for Life said.
Vice President Pence met with pro-life activists on Thursday.
The theme of this year's march, which has occurred annually since the 1973 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortions, is the "Power of One," intended to highlight how one individual encompasses the ability to make a difference in the cause of life.
