California Highway Patrol wanted to make sure everyone knew about the massive sinkhole on State Route 13.
So they gave it a name. Specifically, Steve, our partner at CBS 12 reports.
Steve caused at least three flat tires on Monday. It (he?) was
born created after an underground pipe opened up and carved out a space under the pavement. The hole was eight feet wide, 10 feet long and 10 feet deep, meaning it easily could have swallowed an entire car.
CHP introduced Steve like an old friend.
And then the agency started patching him up.
It almost seemed sad to see him go.
Crews said Steve would be fully patched up by Tuesday night.
Steve had a few fans in his short life.
