Those New Year resolutions just became a bit more challenging.
In an effort to properly introduce McDonald's newest burgers, the Mac Jr. and Grand Mac, to the public, the fast food chain announced that it will give away bottles of its Big Mac Special Sauce for free at participating locations beginning Jan. 26.

News of the tasty promotion follows weeks of hype surrounding McDonald's introduction of its newest Big Macs. The Grand Mac packs in a third-pound of beef, two slices of cheese, a middle bun, and, of course, the so-called special sauce. The Mac Jr. is marketed towards those who are looking for an on-the-go snack.
The selling of the sauce, though, hasn't been met with the greatest enthusiasm.
McDonald's spokeswoman Becca Hary is countering claims that the Special Sauce is repurposed Thousand Island dressing.
"The Big Mac Sauce is unique to McDonald’s and includes a classic combination of ingredients," Hary told USA Today. "The Big Mac Sauce remains timeless and customers around the world continue to enjoy its signature taste."
