A North Carolina pastor and his wife who lost their two young boys in a horrific wreck in 2015 just shared some wonderful news: They're expecting twins.
“Y’all have held us up in prayer and we are so grateful! Now we ask you to add two more Eddings to your prayers! We are expecting twins this summer!” Hadley Eddings wrote in a Facebook post on Sunday.
Hadley and Gentry Eddings were driving home from a family wedding on Memorial Day weekend in 2015 when a truck driver slammed into the family's van, killing their 2-year-old son Dobbs and sending Hadley into labor.
Hadley underwent an emergency C-section, but the couple's baby boy named Reed died after two days.
Matthew Deans, 28, of Wilmington, North Carolina, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor death by vehicle.
We have in our hearts forgiven the man who did this.
Gentry Eddings, who is a pastor at Forest Hills Church in Charlotte, made headlines when he and Hadley publicly forgave the driver who caused the wreck.
During that difficult time, the couple's community and strangers rallied around them. Their church created a GoFundMe page that raised more than $200,000 to help cover medical expenses.
