President-elect Donald Trump mocked the head of the CIA and suggested he could have been involved in leaking the infamous Russian dossier in a Twitter rant on Sunday.

CIA Director John Brennan said he doubted Trump had a "full understanding of Russian capabilities."

"There is no interest in undermining the president-elect," he told  Fox News on Sunday.

Trump was not exactly pleased.

He implied Brennan might have been behind the Russian dossier link.

In recent weeks, the CIA said it had "high confidence" Russia tried to help elect Trump.

They have sanctions on Russia. Let's see if we can make some good deals with Russia.

In an interview published in the Times of London on Sunday, Trump indicated he might end sanctions on Russia that resulted from the annexation of Crimea in exchange for a nuclear arms reduction deal.

In that interview, Trump elaborated on other planned US-Europe relations, saying if he had to choose between trusting Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, he would "start off trusting both -- but let's see how long that lasts."

He also called NATO "obsolete" because "it wasn't taking care of terror," praised Brexit as "a great thing" and said he would appoint his son-in-law Jared Kushner to broker a Middle East peace deal.
