A Turkish cargo plane crashed Monday in a village just outside Kyrgyzstan's main airport, killing at least 37 people on the ground and in the plane, according Kyrgyzstan's Emergency Situations Ministry.
A Boeing 747 crashed en route to the Manas airport south of the capital, Bishtek.
Footage from the scene showed the plane's nose stuck inside a brick house. Fifteen homes were destroyed in the crash,

The cause of the crash was not immediately made clear. Turkish Emergency Situations Minister Kubatbek Boronov said low visibility may have played a role.

Boeing expressed its condolences in a statement.
"Boeing extends its deepest condolences to the families of those who perished in the Turkish Airlines cargo Flight TK6491 accident near Manas Airport Kyrgyzstan, operated by ACT Airlines, as well as its wishes for the recovery of those injured," the plane manufacturer said.
