As for the games coming to the system, the announcement confirmed a few speculations that occurred from a GameStop leak.
Some titles will launch with the console, like "1, 2, Switch."
Other announced games will be launched later in the year, including: "Arms," "Splatoon 2," "Super Mario Odyssey," and "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe." A new Pokemon game was not addressed but is still highly anticipated.
Among one of the long-awaited games is the newest title in the "Legend of Zelda" series, which will be available the same day as the console launch.
The announcement of "Breath of the Wild" stunned enthusiasts earlier in June of 2016, with new graphics, game content, and features that aimed to create a new take on the Nintendo classic.
