Trump urged Twitter followers to purchase L.L. Bean merchandise

President-elect Donald Trump took to Twitter Thursday morning to praise L.L. Bean board owner and co-owner Linda Bean, whom donated some $30,000 to support the former business mogul, according to the Associated Press.

The tweet came to be after public scrutiny began to mount around Bean for supporting Trump. Critics created the hashtag #Grabyourwallet to discourage people from purchasing goods from the family-owned outdoor retailer.

People began to return products once Linda Bean's support was made public.

Circa has reached out to L.L. Bean to confirm whether there has been an uptick in sales following Trump's call to the masses.

The company has yet to respond, but it did issue a statement on Facebook Wednesday night regarding the #Grabyourwallet boycott.

L.L. Bean lovers and Trump supports share a common bond.

In response to the public's condemnation of her political affiliations, Bean called it a "case of bullying" on Fox News.
