Ivanka Trump announced her formal leave of absence from the Trump organization


Presidential daughter Ivanka Trump wrote a heartfelt summary of her future plans on Facebook on Wednesday.

"...I will take a formal leave of absence from the Trump Organization and my eponymous apparel and accessories brand," she wrote Wednesday. "I will no longer be involved with the management or operations of either company."

The announcement comes in the midst of a busy week for the Trump administration with ongoing Senate confirmation hearings on his Cabinet nominees.

Her husband, Jared Kushner, will serve as senior advisor to the president.

Her family is expected to relocate to Washington, D.C. where it's reported that they'll reside in the same neighborhood as the Obama family, according to WHAM.

Trump concluded the post with an sense of gratuity and optimism for the future, saying she's eager to continue working on issues that resonate with her, like the education and empowerment of women.

"Thank you to those of you who've lent your voices and perspective," she added. "To those of you I’ve yet to meet, I look forward to working with you and for you."
