Months after Kim Kardashian West was robbed in Paris, 16 people have been arrested in connection with the case.
French police said arrests started around 6 a.m. local time on Monday near Paris. The suspects can be held for 96 hours before police must charge them or release them.
This comes days after Kardashian spoke up about the robbery on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" for the first time. She had been silent on social media since the robbery until last week.
They're going to shoot me in the back. There's no way out.
She told her sisters Khloe and Kourtney her terrified thoughts during the robbery.
The robbers stole more than $10 million worth of jewelry during the incident. Police found DNA evidence at Kardashian's hotel that led to the arrests. One anonymous official said many suspects were already well known for other crimes.
