After postponing a news conference about his plans for the future of his business empire, Donald Trump aide Kellyanne Conway revealed the new date: January 11.

Conway broke the news on CNN Monday night. The conference was originally planned for Dec. 15, but Trump postponed it.

Trump has not held a press conference since July, breaking with the precedent that presidents-elect take questions from the press shortly after election.

Here's the announcement of Trump delaying his conference.

The date may have some significance. President Obama said he will give a farewell address on January 10. This would give Trump an opportunity to touch on topics of Obama's speech.

Trump blasted Hillary Clinton for not holding press conferences during her campaign.

He has also continued to criticize the news media -- even since winning the election.
