Pop star Janet Jackson and her husband, Wissam Al Mana, welcomed their first child into the world Tuesday, her representative confirmed to People magazine.
The couple named their baby boy, Eissa.
"Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably," a representative for the 50-year-old pop star told People.
The singer didn't publicly confirm her pregnancy until October.
Jackson first announced that she was postponing her "Unbreakable" world tour in December 2015, saying she was recovering from an unspecified surgery.
"I need you to know, I learned today, from my doctors that I must have surgery soon," Jackson wrote in a Facebook post. "It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring."
Then in April 2016, she postponed it for the second time on doctors orders.
"I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I'm going to have to delay the tour," Jackson told fans in a video she posted to Twitter. "Please, if you can try and understand that it's important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor's orders. But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can."
Jackson married Qatari businessman Al Mana 2012, CNN reports.
