A dog named "Scarface" attacked three people Friday afternoon in a Tampa, Florida home after its owner tried to dress it in a sweater, police told the Tampa Bay Times.
Police spokesman Stephen Hegarty said 52-year-old Brenda Guerrero was attacked after she went outside to put a sweater on her pit bull mix.
The woman's husband, Ismael Guerrero, was attacked when he tried to pull the dog off of her. Then, 22-year-old Antoine Harris was attacked after attempting to stab the dog's neck and head.
All three eventually managed to make it inside the house, leaving the dog in the backyard.
Eddy Durkin with the Tampa Police Department told ABC affiliate WFTS that officers who responded to the call had to use a stun gun to subdue the animal. Even then, Durkin said the dog was "still pulling away."
Animal control and officers on the scene had to use a bean bag gun, a "catch pole" and a tranquilizer gun on the dog.
“Officers responding said the dog was pretty aggressive,” Durkin told WFTS.
Brenda and Ismael Guerrero were taken to the hospital for treatment to serious injuries, although authorities said they did not appear to be life-threatening, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
At this point, it is unclear whether the dog was euthanized following the attacks.
