We've officially reached the final frontier of the mannequin challenge


The International Space Station took the mannequin challenge to new heights. Literally.

We got the whole crew together and took the #MannequinChallenge to new heights. The result is kind of sci-fi spooky don't you think?

French astronaut Thomas Pesquet tweeted a video Thursday of himself and four crew members attempting the viral challenge while floating weightless.

The astronauts typically have the day off on Sundays, so they had a "bit of fun in microgravity," explained Pesquet on Facebook:

Led by ISS Commander Shane Kimbrough, the six-member crew from France, Russia and the United Staes is researching how microgravity can affect the genetic properties of space-grown plants and tissue regeneration in humans.
