WATCH | Uber driver Noah Forman captured the incredible feat on camera December 3 -- he hit 236 green lights in a row, never once stopping at an intersection. Forman told CNN he became interested in beating the traffic system in 2014 after he saw video of someone hitting 55 green lights in a row.
WATCH | Forman's achievement, however, didn't come without practice. In 2015, Forman hit 186 green lights when he was driving a Yellow Cab in Manhattan from Battery Park to Central Park and then back to the World Trade Center, according to NBC New York.
Pacing and timing
After Forman started working for Uber, he started aiming for a higher number of green lights. "You just make sure to go at a steady pace and time it so you don't have to stop," Forman told CNN. "At the right time, the lights switch right after one another."
During his latest green light spree, Forman went on a nearly 30-minute trip from Harlem to Washington Square Park, up 59th Street and down the Lower East Side, where finally he hit a red light.
