The U.S.-led coalition battling ISIS carried out airstrikes on Christmas Day. The pilots seemed to get into the spirit of the holiday by wearing Santa hats.
The U.S. Air Force released photos of the airstrikes showing pilots wearing the traditional red hat.
This might seem fake, but the photos came from Air Force senior airman Tyler Woodward.

Here's a look at a pilot in the hat.

Airwars, which tracks airstrikes in the Middle East, first reported the findings.

It's not unusual for troops to wear Santa hats in uniform.
But some observers were disgusted with what appeared to be making light of war.
