Ricky Harris, the actor and comedian who starred on "Everybody Hates Chris" and a close friend to many hip-hop stars, died Monday of a heart attack at the age of 54.
Harris made his Hollywood debut with 1993's "Poetic Justice" and later appeared in "Hard Rain," "Bones," the video game "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," and "The Tracy Morgan Show."
He was also a frequent collaborator with hip-hop stars like Snoop Dogg.
Snoop said Harris was "on his way to heaven now" in an emotional tribute.
Ice Cube was similarly upset.
