Run the Jewels dropped a new album on Christmas morning. Fans went nuts.

Merry Christmas, hip-hop fans.

The critically acclaimed hip-hop duo Run the Jewels, consisting of El-P and Killer Mike, released "Run the Jewels 3" early Christmas morning, to the surprise of many fans.

As icing on the cake, the album was free on the group's site. The album was intended to be released January 13, Spin reports. The second album, creatively titled "Run the Jewels 2," was also released early.

The announcement tweet says it all.

Traffic to the site was so high, it crashed. An emergency stream link was made available.

Unsurprisingly, fans lost their minds, and #RTJ3 trended on Twitter.

The bar has been raised this Christmas.

Sorry, Santa.

It's full of guest features including Danny Brown and Kamasi Washington.

Have you heard #RTJ3 yet?
