WATCH | Emily Turner is on a mission to open a grilled cheese shop that tackles fair housing rights and discrimination in Minneapolis, Minnesota by hiring ex-convicts who are unable to find employment after being released from prison.
As a lawyer, Turner worked with public policy issues in the criminal justice system and saw firsthand the discrimination against former convicts, and their need to be re-integrated into society.
Now her passion for social change and love for grilled cheese have come together with the creation of All Square, a gourmet grilled cheese shop with a social mission.
This fall, All Square launched with a Kickstarter campaign that handily succeeding in raising $60,000 over the course of a few months.

Turner partnered with a local chef to create the swathe of sandwiches offered on the shop's menu.
