The Fort Worth, Texas Police Department placed an officer on restricted duty Thursday after a Facebook video showed him arresting a woman who called police to complain that a neighbor had assaulted her son for allegedly littering on his lawn.
Police say they're conducting an internal investigation.
The woman's two daughters were also arrested -- one of them for recording the altercation -- and the officer pulled his stun gun, pointing it at onlookers. The man accused of choking the child was not arrested.
This is the video. It has more than 2.4 million views as of Friday.
Here is a statement from the Fort Worth police:
"We acknowledge that the initial appearance of the video may raise serious questions," a department statement said.
"We ask that our investigators are given the time and opportunity to thoroughly examine the incident and to submit their findings."
