The so-called "war on Christmas" has claimed new victims -- mainly because those who claim to be fighting on behalf of the holiday didn't check their facts. At all.
A Jewish family was forced to move from their home in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, after conservative news organizations wrongly blamed them for the cancellation of a school's traditional production of "A Christmas Carol," reports Philly.com.
The family had requested in September that their child be excused from participating in the Centerville Elementary School play, and the school obliged. In November, the school cancelled the play due to restraints on extracurricular time.
After outlets such as FOX News and Breitbart News Network picked the story up, the school received over 200 complaints. Comments on the story published to Breitbart suggested the family's address should be published.
There was no way we were going to take a chance after the pizza incident.
Upon seeing this, the family pulled their child from school and temporarily left the area, fearing the consequences of internet rage.
It looks like FOX News has a few internal battles to fight over its "war."
