During Wednesday's game against Elon University, Duke basketball star Grayson Allen tripped Elon player Steven Santa Ana in a dramatic, obvious infraction. He was given a technical foul and later threw a tantrum on the bench.

On Thursday, coach Mike Krzyzewski suspended Allen indefinitely. This is the third time he's tripped someone on the court, CBS Sports reports.

This could be bad news for Duke. Allen was CBS Sports' Preseason National Player of the Year.

And here's the even more infamous courtside tantrum.

Allen later apologized for the incident.

Did Allen deserve the suspension?

But any punishment Duke can lay on Allen pales in comparison to the shredding he got on Twitter.

There was a definite 'spoiled brat' routine.

And some of the tweets got a little extreme.

But who doesn't love a good cat video?

At least he got some superlative out of this.

Although this will doubtless overshadow his stellar play on the court.
