'Bridalplasty' contestant's body found buried in a former student's backyard near LAX

A body found Tuesday night buried in a shallow grave near the Los Angeles International Airport  is believed to be the remains of Lisa Marie Naegle, a former contestant on the reality show "Bridalplasty" who went missing over the weekend.

Naegle, a 36-year-old nurse and teacher, appeared on the show in 2010, competing for a dream wedding and plastic surgery.

She was originally reported missing after she did not show up to teach classes at West Los Angeles College on Monday. Her student, Jackie Rogers, 34, was arrested on suspicion of murder.

The grim details

A motive and cause of death have not yet been confirmed.

Naegle went to a birthday party on Saturday night. Her husband texted her early Sunday to ask where she was, and said later that Naegle sounded "really, really drunk" when she called back. She never returned home.

Naegle's relatives said they have photos of Naegle leaving the party with Rogers. Rogers initially denied it, then changed his story. Naegle's body was later found in a shallow grave in his backyard.

Some news outlets report that Rogers confessed to the murder and that Naegle died after taking multiple blows to the head from a hammer. Those reports have not been confirmed.

Police have not officially announced whether or not Rogers confessed.
