Robin Thicke is speaking out in the wake of his father's death


Canadian actor, singer, and television presenter Alan Thicke died unexpectedly on Tuesday after suffering a heart attack during a casual hockey game with family. 

Singer Robin Thicke is now speaking out in the wake of his father's death, taking to Instagram to write that his father was "the best man [he] ever knew." 

“The good thing was that he was beloved and he had closure,” Robin told The Los Angeles Times. “I saw him a few days ago and told him how much I loved and respected him.”

Robin's post to Instagram was full of praise for his late father. 

Gloria Loring, Robin's mother and Alan's first wife, also posted about the actor's death.

Robin Thicke's former wife, Paula Patton, shared a quote on Twitter by Mother Teresa.
