Just hours after Donald Trump announced his pick for E.P.A. chief Wednesday, the president-elect met with environmental activist and actor Leonardo DiCpario to talk clean energy jobs.

DiCaprio met with Trump for 90 minutes at the Trump Tower in Manhattan to discuss how focusing on renewable energy could create millions of jobs for Americans, the Associated Press reports. He also met with Ivanka Trump.

DiCaprio's foundation confirmed the meeting really happened.

We look forward to continuing the conversation with the incoming administration as we work to stop the dangerous march of climate change.
Statement from the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation

"Our conversation focused on how create millions of secure, American jobs in the construction and operation of commercial and residential clean, renewable energy generation," Terry Tamminen, CEO of the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation said in a statement to the Associated Press.

DiCaprio has been a strong advocate of fighting climate change and preserving wildlife.

His recent documentary, "Before the Flood," addresses the perils of climate change.

DiCaprio believes climate change is real -- unlike Trump's pick for EPA chief.

Even Trump denied climate change is real, tweeting it "was made up for the Chinese."
