Shocking photos of alleged hazing at Hofstra University reveal a grim side to Greek life

WATCH  | Forty-four states have anti-hazing laws to protect students from sickening rituals, but these laws haven't stopped hazing incidents from occurring.

Swastikas, vomit and hot sauce

Photos published Tuesday by the Hofstra Chronicle show students allegedly being hazed with swastikas, vomit, and hot sauce by a fraternity over the course of the fall 2014 and fall 2015 semesters.

In an email sent to the Grand Council of Sigma Pi Fraternity International, a former Sigma Pi fraternity member at Hofstra University alleged that pledges were forced to endure "extreme hazing."

The photos sent with that email were later posted online.

Here's a student covered in hot sauce, blindfolded and kneeling in front of swastika.

Should hazing be allowed?
