A major interstate in northeast Ohio has come to a standstill after a massive pileup with more than 50 cars.
The accidents on I-90 in Painesville (30 miles east of Cleveland) began around 11 a.m., according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
For the next three hours, traffic was reduced to one lane both east and westbound as vehicles progressed at 5 miles-per-hour while crews removed previous crashes.
However, the highway was shut down around 2:52 p.m. due to a crash involving dozens of vehicles.
Fox 8 reports at least 19 people were injured.
In a Facebook post around 5 p.m., the sheriff's office said they don't expect the highway to re-open for another four-to-six hours.
