Sofia Vergara has been sued by her own frozen embryos. Technically.
A lawsuit in Louisiana was filed on behalf of the embryos, listing the plaintiffs as "Emma" and "Isabella," according to Page Six.
Vergara was sued by her former fiance Nick Loeb for custody of the embryos, fertilized and put into cryogenic storage while the two were still partners. Louisiana has special legal protection for embryos -- by not being born, the suit claims the embryos have been denied their trust-fund inheritance.

The situation is further complicated by a contract signed by Vergara and Loeb (pictured here in 2014), stating neither could "use" the embryos without consent of the other. But it didn't specify what would happen if the couple broke up.
It gets more complicated
According to Page Six, the couple originally had five embryos created. Two rounds of in-vitro fertilization failed before the couple broke up in 2014. Loeb filed a lawsuit in California, but on Tuesday, the lawsuit was dropped after a judge ruled in favor of Vergara.
Vergara's lawyer, Fred Silberberg, has said Vergara wants the embryos to remain frozen indefinitely. The lawsuit wants Loeb to be granted full custody so the embryos can be implanted in a surrogate mother.
