NFL Media will now officially be covering Madden eSports

NFL Media has partnered with EA Sports to provide coverage of the Madden NFL '17 Championship Series.

The series, with a $1 million prize pool, was announced back in June.

The 1st of 4 tournaments (the Madden Classic) gave $30,000 to first place player, Spotmeplzz.

Other competitions are to take place in February (the Madden Bowl) and April (the Madden Challenge). The series will wrap up with the biggest tournament of the year in May, called the Madden Championships, following  4 weeks of league-style play.

A new show is to be created that will cover the gameplay that takes place during the series, streaming on on Friday and airing on the NFL network on Saturday.
