These stuffed croissants are what you need this holiday season
WATCH | 'Tis the season to eat desserts for breakfast. These croissants at Union Fare restaurant in Manhattan are dressed up as birthday cakes or red velvet cakes, generously filled with custard inside the buttery layers.
Union Fare -- a "new industrial restaurant" and "modern gastrohall" that opened in Union Square earlier this year -- jazzes up its croissants with traditional cake flavors and other sweet flavors you wouldn't normally associate with croissants, like matcha, cookies and cream, candy cane and caramel pecan.
They also offer savory options (garlic bread croissants, anyone?).
Newest addition to the club: the candy cane croissant.
Eating it can get a little messy, but no non-messy croissants have made history.
