What happens when a movie critic gets critiqued? A Twitter moment.
Twitter users called out The Wall Street Journal's Joe Morgenstern after he made an embarrassing error in a review of the movie, "Lion."
In Morgenstern's Friday newspaper review, he misidentifies Dev Patel with Kal Penn. Both actors are of Indian descent.
@JoeMorgenstern Dev Patel wasn't in the Namesake. Did you mean the other brown actor (@kalpenn) or other brown film? :( #wsj #lionmovie pic.twitter.com/UhPtVKmJ5B

User @kelvindchen picked up on the error.

Here's my review of "Lion." Going in, I thought it was about a lion. Coming out, I was enchanted. https://t.co/dApQ6Ybo7t via @WSJ

I do. What a dumb error.

Morgenstern simply responded: "I do. What a dumb error."
A spelling mistake is a dumb error. Mixing up Dev Patel and Kal Penn is something else... #WeDontAllLookTheSame https://t.co/5G4Sr12A32

But not everyone was willing to let the critic off that easily.
Oh ffs. Javier Bardem & Jeffrey Dean Morgan I can see. This one? Just because they're two brown dudes..uggggggh. *headdesk* https://t.co/Ut4ex7LYxZ
