On Thursday morning Donald Trump tweeted that he is working hard on Thanksgiving to keep the Indianapolis-based manufacturing company, Carrier A.C. in the United States.
Carrier announced in February that it was relocating its Indianapolis manufacturing operations to Monterrey, Mexico to be closer to an existing facility. The relocation plan, that President-elect Trump is working to block, would take place over the course of approximately three years, eventually impacting the workers in Indianapolis.
I am working hard, even on Thanksgiving, trying to get Carrier A.C. Company to stay in the U.S. (Indiana). MAKING PROGRESS - Will know soon!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 24, 2016
Trump is spending the Thanksgiving holiday with his family at his Palm Beach, Fla. estate, Mar-a-Lago after a week spent interviewing potential cabinet appointees in New York.
