At least 67 people were killed in a scaffolding collapse Thursday at a construction site in the Chinese province of Jiangxi, according to the country's state-run media.
China's Work Safety Administration told CBS News the work platform fell around 7:30 a.m. as workers were building a power plant cooling tower in the city of Fengcheng.
The initial death toll was 22, but that number jumped to 67 later in the day.
At least one person is still missing and two were wounded, according to the country's state-run media.
More than 100 paramilitary police have been called in to help rescue the workers still trapped beneath the platform.

This is one in a series of industrial accidents in China during the last few months. Most of the accidents have been blamed on corruption and companies disregarding safety guidelines, CBS News reports.
