Otis Tyrone McKane, the man arrested on suspicion of killing a San Antonio police officer during a traffic stop, got married just one day after the shooting.
The 31-year-old was married Monday morning, just hours before he was arrested on suspicion of shooting and killing Det. Benjamin Marconi, according to documents obtained by CNN.
The name of the person McKane married was redacted from the documents.
A marriage license was at the Bexar County Clerk's Office around 10 a.m. and then a judge performed the ceremony, according to CNN.
Police began circulating surveillance video from Sunday's shooting around the same time, but at that point, they had not released the name of the suspect.
Marconi was shot outside police headquarters Sunday while writing a traffic ticket. He was rushed to San Antonio Military Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
McKane has offered an apology to the officer's family and said a child custody battle caused him to "lash out."
A memorial was set up outside police headquarters Monday night to honor Marconi's memory.
