HBO announced it is partnering with Vintage Wine Estates to release a line of "Game of Thrones" wines, hopefully just in time for the Season 7 premiere.
The "Seven Kingdom Wines" will include a chardonnay, a red blend and a cabernet sauvignon, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The red blend and chardonnay will be priced at $20 and the cabernet sauvignon will go for $40.
“Given the prominent role of wine on Game of Thrones and our previous success in the beverage category, an officially licensed wine for the show feels like a natural extension for our fans,” Jeff Peters, the director of licensing and retail for HBO told Entertainment Weekly.
A few years ago, HBO teamed up with Ommegang to produce "Game of Thrones"-themed brews.
It's especially surprising that it's taken so long to get a line of wine, given the fact that wine plays such a prominent role in the series.
The Lannisters, Cersei and Tyrion particularly, are frequently seen sipping wine throughout the series.
