Frank Ocean blames lack of diversity for skipping GRAMMY consideration of his 'Blonde' LP

Frank Ocean has no interest in the GRAMMYs this time around.

The singer-songwriter decided not to submit his long-awaited sophomore album "Blonde" for award consideration.

Ocean told The New York Times: "The GRAMMYs as an institution has 'nostalgic importance' but doesn't represent very well for people who come from where I come from."

Kanye West told fans at a show that he'd boycott the GRAMMYs if Ocean wasn't nominated.

His 'Colin Kaepernick' moment?

Ocean said only a few African-Americans have ever won the GRAMMY album of the year award.

The "Thinking About You" singer won two GRAMMYs in 2013, but says this year will serve as his "Colin Kaepernick moment" -- because he'll be sitting this one out.

The GRAMMY nominees will be revealed on December 8.

Billboard reported Ocean's album was ineligible, due to a missed filing deadline.

Director of National Intelligence James Clapper says his resignation 'felt pretty good'
