Four states legalized marijuana this year. Rhode Island might join them soon.

I've talked to governors of states who've already legalized, and they say to me, 'Go slow, governor, especially with edibles.'

After four states legalized recreational marijuana, Rhode Island is considering legalizing it as well, according to our partner at WJAR.

Nearby Maine and Massachusetts voted to legalize last week.  However, Gov. Gina Raimondo says she's not in a rush.

Rhode Island House Speaker Nicholas Mattiello said he's ready to consider legislation next year since marijuana will become readily available by simply hopping the border into Massachusetts.

Marijuana will technically be legal in Massachusetts by December 15, but retail sales won't be legal until 2018 at the earliest.

Nationwide, California and Nevada also voted to legalize pot, while Arkansas, Florida, Montana and North Dakota legalized medical marijuana.

Should marijuana be legal nationwide?
