In her new memoir, "The Princess Diarist," Carrie Fisher publicly acknowledges that she and Harrison Ford had a three-month affair while filming "Star Wars: A New Hope" in 1976.
“It was so intense,” the actress told PEOPLE during an exclusive interview.
At the time, Fisher was 19 and Ford was a 33-year-old married father of two.

It was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend.
Ford reportedly knew about the memoir and received a draft before it was published. However, he did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.
Fisher and Ford recently reunited on-screen for last year's "The Force Awakens."

Although Fisher and Ford's romance ran its course, the actress said she looks back on the time fondly.
“I was so inexperienced, but I trusted something about him,” she told PEOPLE. “He was kind.”
