Donald Trump's attorneys want the upcoming trial on Trump University delayed until after the president-elect's inauguration.

His lawyers filed a motion in federal court on Saturday night to move the trial from November 28 to "a date after the presidential inauguration," Politico reports.

The lawyers argue the trial would hinder the presidential transition.

In the meantime, Trump faces three civil lawsuits tied to his now-defunct for-profit college, including the one scheduled for Nov. 28 in San Diego.

U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, previously criticized by Trump because "he's a Mexican," urged the parties to settle the case to avoid further complications.
