Donald Trump might not repeal all of Obamacare

President-elect Donald Trump seemed open on Friday to compromising on the promise to repeal Obamacare in its entirety after he spoke to the president during a visit to the Oval Office, reports CNN

Such a position would most likely put Trump at odds with those who voted for him, given that repealing Obamacare entirely was a major promise he made during his campaign for the presidency.

"Either Obamacare will be amended, or repealed and replaced," Trump said. "I told him I will look at his suggestions, and out of respect, I will do that."

This departure from what appeared to be an iron-clad part of his platform has given those concerned about a Trump presidency a reason to believe that he try and fulfill his more controversial campaign promises.
