Police were called to the home over a loud noise complaint. Officers then saw four people who were apparently being subjected to what appeared to be sorority-hazing ritual. The people were blindfolded and were made to eat mud, rotten eggs, rotten milk, and liquid smelling o urine.

One of the victims was taken to the hospital.

The seven people arrested for hazing are 19-year-old Katrina Bergvoy, 19-year-old Heaven Guanco, 19-year-old Monica Vitagliano, 20-year-old of Tereyza Martin, 21-year-old Chinzao Ezekwem and 21-year-old Jessica Raynor.

University officials have said that the sorority was not recognized by the university. They also said that if their investigation reveals that the actions of the seven people violated the university's code of conduct, they will subject them to appropriate consequences.

The University at Albany has dealt with hazing in the recent past.
