The man suspected of planning the terror attacks on Paris and Brussels has been identified

The man suspected of planning deadly terror attacks in Paris and Brussels has been identified, CNN reports.

Oussama Atar, also known as Abu Ahmad, is a cousin of the Ibrahim and Khalid el-Bakraoui, the brothers who blew themselves up in Brussels, killing 31 people and injuring hundreds others in March. The Brussels attacks came months after 130 people were killed in multiple attacks across Paris in November 2015.

Atar, 32, is suspected of orchestrating the attacks from Syria.

The attacks in Paris were horrifying, but if not for a few logistical snags, could have been even worse.
