An Ohio man was accused of trying to join ISIS after booking a flight to Libya.
Aaron Daniels, 20, was under investigation for months, Fox News reports. The FBI reported that he admitted to wiring $250 to ISIS and planned to join the terrorist group.
Daniels had become interested in Islam years ago and attended a local mosque, The Columbus Dispatch reported.
Possible terrorist action on Election Day
If convicted, Daniels faces up to 20 years in prison.
Officials have been on alert after reports of a possible al-Qaeda terrorist action on Election Day. New York, Texas and Virginia are considered possible targets.
