Donald Trump aides insist Trump's Twitter has not been taken away from him.

"No one is taking away his Twitter. He's his own man," adviser Boris Epshteyn told USA Today.

ORIGINAL STORY: This may be Donald Trump's last tweet until Election Day.

The New York Times reports Trump's Twitter account is now in the hands of his staff in an attempt to prevent him from uttering more counterproductive outbursts.

When looking at Trump tweets, those from Android devices are those actually written by Trump's, while other devices signify the work of his staff, according to data scientist David Robinson.

The Times profile also details an incident in which Stephen Bannon, Trump's campaign CEO, was so engrossed in writing a Trump speech in light of a fresh batch of emails possibly tied to Hillary Clinton, his pants caught fire. 

But Trump's tweets are still seeing the light of day -- at least, in his speeches.

In another instance, Trump told spokeswoman Hope Hicks an idea for a tweet: "Why is [President Obama] campaigning instead of creating jobs and fixing Obamacare? Get back to work." That line, with "for the American people" at the end, appeared in his a speech on Thursday in Miami.
