Beer drinkers are tapping out of Yuengling beer over Donald Trump endorsement

If there are two things Americans take seriously, it's their politics and their beer.

Earlier this week, local bar owners  and beer drinkers were split after Yuengling beer owner, Richard "Dick" Yuengling Jr., publicly endorsed Donald Trump for president.

"Our guys are behind your father," Dick Yuengling reportedly told Eric Trump during his visit to the brewery. "We need him in there," he said.

An owner of a gay bar in Washington, DC announced they'd no longer serve Yuengling.

Beer drinkers also took to social media to denounce the endorsement.

"I'm devastated I have to throw out the 6 pack in my fridge now," one person tweeted.

Some Trump supporters couldn't be more excited about the endorsement.

"Buy some Yuengling Beer."
