If you're afraid of self-driving cars, maybe you'd feel better if it brought you a beer. Or a truckload of it.

Budweiser teamed up with Otto, a self-driving truck company owned by Uber, to deliver a trailer full of beer from Fort Collins, Colo., to Colorado Springs last week, USA Today reports. The trip was just reported Tuesday morning.

The self-driving truck isn't quite 100 percent yet. It only works on highways, so it needs a human to drive it through city traffic. The Colorado Department of Transportation worked with Otto for months before letting the truck on the road alone.

How big a deal is this, anyway?

Otto's goal is to let truckers stay on the road longer without having to actually drive for more hours, since those hours are carefully regulated.

And trucking is a big business -- $726 billion in revenue in 2015, according to the American Trucking Associations.

Someone shot at a police car with a ride-along inside. A dashcam caught it all.
