London City Airport has been evacuated after reports of a 'chemical incident'



London City Airport was evacuated this morning after a number of passengers reported feeling unwell due to ad "chemical incident," reports CNN. Firetrucks and chemical specialists have been dispatched to the scene.

Officials are saying the exact cause and nature of the incident is still unknown.  

The airport has been evacuated as precaution.

City ambulances are treating at least 26 people at the scene for difficulty breathing. So far, only two patients have been taken to the hospital. 

London Ambulance Service has been keeping people updated on social media. 

Even flights en route to the airport have been advised of the situation on the ground.
